About Me

My name is Susan Thielking. I have been sewing, knitting and crocheting for over 50 years. I have sewn just about anything you can think of, from wedding gowns to slipcovers, and I enjoy it tremendously.

Before I moved up to the beautiful Adirondacks about 10 years ago, I sold my products at many different craft fairs. After the move up North, I decided that all the traveling and lugging was too much for me, and I had the opportunity to purchase my store. At first I was hesitant to do so only because I couldn't think of a name for the store, but my cousin came up with "The Brown Eyed Susan", and the rest is history.

Everything in The Brown Eyed Susan is handmade. We have children's clothing, quilts, soaps and lotions, jewlery, cards, something for the lady of the house as well as decor for your home. I try to have new and different products each year.
